1. Who we are
SajiloBhasa is an online language learning platform operating in Nepal, and a product of Yamison. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, and our postal address is available on request. You can reach us at support@sajilobhasa.com.
2. What we collect
When you create an account, join a waitlist, or buy a course, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your WhatsApp number, used to add you to your cohort's group
- A billing address, required by our payment gateways
- The course(s) and cohort you purchase, and your order history
- Anything you write to us directly, for example over email or WhatsApp
- Your conversations with Sajilo AI, the chat assistant on this site, the email address you give it, and the type of device, browser and approximate location (city and country) you chat from
We do not collect or store your card, eSewa, or connectIPS credentials. Payment details are entered directly on eSewa's or connectIPS's own payment page and are handled under their respective privacy policies, not ours.
3. Why we collect it
Under Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), we only use your data for the specific purposes below:
- Creating and maintaining your account
- Processing your course payment through eSewa or connectIPS
- Adding you to the correct WhatsApp group for your cohort
- Sending your live class links and schedule for Zoom or Google Meet
- Responding to questions you send us
- Meeting our own accounting and tax record-keeping obligations
We do not use your data for anything beyond these purposes, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Your consent
We collect and process your data with your consent, given when you create an account or complete a purchase. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us - note that this may mean we can no longer deliver a course you have already paid for, so we'll always confirm with you first what withdrawing consent means for an active enrolment.
5. Who we share it with
To run a live cohort course, a limited set of your data is shared with:
- eSewa and connectIPS - to process your payment
- WhatsApp (Meta) - your number, to add you to your cohort's study group
- Zoom and Google Meet - your name and email, so you can join live classes
- Google (Gemini) - the messages you send Sajilo AI, so it can answer them
Each of these services processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an active account, plus a period afterward to satisfy our tax and accounting record-keeping obligations under Nepali law, and no longer than those obligations require. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time, subject to what we are legally required to retain.
7. Your rights
Under the Individual Privacy Act, 2075, you can ask us to:
- Show you the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any information that is inaccurate
- Delete your account and personal data, subject to our legal record-keeping duties

8. Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep the data we hold as safe as we reasonably can.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students by email or WhatsApp.
