Students of our live online Japanese classes in Nepal, in their own words. Some sat down and recorded it. Some wrote a line after class.

I had tried two apps before this and never got past the alphabet. Being asked a question out loud every week is what actually made it stick.
The class is small enough that you cannot hide in it, which sounds frightening and turned out to be the whole point.
Passed N4 on the first try. The mock tests in the last month were harder than the real paper.
Same teacher every week, so nobody has to re-explain what I already understand. That saved me a term.
I asked a grammar question on WhatsApp at 10pm and had an answer with three examples before class.
The recordings saved my term.
I work shifts and could not always make the live class, so I watched the recording the same night and brought my questions to the next one. Nobody ever made me feel behind for it, and when two or three of us had missed the same class the instructor simply went back over the point rather than telling us to catch up on our own time.
I can finally read a menu in Japanese.
Six months ago I could not reliably tell hiragana from katakana, and last week I ordered lunch from the Japanese side of the menu without reaching for my phone once. The weekly kanji drills are the reason. They felt like busywork at the time and then quite suddenly they did not.
Good teaching, but book early.
The batch I wanted filled before I had paid and I waited about six weeks for the next intake, which was frustrating at the time. Once I was actually in the class it was everything I had hoped for, so my one complaint is about the waiting rather than the teaching.
Passed N5 in December on my first attempt. The weekly speaking practice is what did it.
My questions get answered the same day in the WhatsApp group, usually with an example sentence rather than just a rule.
